The ideas behind RofASSS

RofASSS is conceived as a open forum for critique, comment, and debate concerning the area of social simulation (broadly conceived). It lies somewhere between an academic journal and a blog. Published entries are citable and lightly reviewed for relevance, politeness, and legality, but rapidly published so that a debate can flourish. It is independent of the journal Journal of Artificial Societies and Social Simulation, but arises from the same community and has many of the same interests. Full papers should be submitted to a regular journal.

The content of RofASSS can be anything connected to social simulation, broadly conceived, including anything in JASSS or CMOT, and anything presented or discussed at relevant conferences such as the “Social Simulation” conference, AAMAS, PAAMS, iEMS etc. It might also deal with issues that might become relevant to social simulation in the future.
